I like the liquid Calgon better than powder

The Geo Method

Use plenty of water in your tank and you won't need to do anything else. Does the Geo Method work? Of course it does. Does it work any better than any other reasonable practice? Most likely not.

^ That's what I use and I will never go back to the pellets or powders.

In 46 years of RVing never used but water.

I have used this method this year and will not go back to the commercial products.

We use very little water, so the Geo Method worked terribly for us. Very stinky plus the dump valves became hard to pull open. We use the blue Aqua-Kem sold at Walmart. No smell and easy pull even with very little water.

We use whiteking and mix it up with hot water and pour in 5 gals. of water and the rest of the stuff. we hardly ever get close to filling up the black tank in 4-5 days. We try to fill up the black tank with the left over water we have and it seems to work.

We've been using the Geo method for a number of years. I also use water and our rig is now 5 years old and the tank gauges still work great. I use bleach sparely with lots of water, I feel it will harm the seals. I've sold of the Geo method.

All we used for 16 years of full-timing was water.

As long as you are using plenty of water and using your system continuously, then really no need for the Geo System BUT if you let it sit, and dry out, like many RV'ers do, the Geo System is very good in just getting everything released, and IMHO is useful.
