Quick Connect Hose for BBQ

Does anyone know if a Camco 57282 10' Propane Quick-Connect Hose will work with the BBQ quick connect on an Adventurer TC? Maybe better still are all propane quick connects brands interchangeable?

I am going to be connecting up my portable BBQ to the TC's propane source and to do so I need to remove the regulator from the BBQ and then connect it to the quick connect hose. That leaves me with no flow control value. I found a nice Camco value that can replace the flow control value that is built into the regulator that is being replaced. The only real question remaining is if the mail connector that comes on a Camco hose will match the female connector on the camper.

  • Weber Q and Baby Q have easly removed regulators.Search this forum , there were a few threads on this in the past.
  • Thanks all for the input. I've ordered a Camco hose and a Camco on/off value. When they arrive I will post a few photos as they may be of general interest, particularly of the on/off value for those with BBQs where the on/off value is part of the regulator. It took a bit of searching for find something that would work.

  • I found a connector at a local rv parts store. I then took that fitting to the local place that makes hoses and had them make me one to a length I needed. the cost was very reasonable and the best part is that I got exactly the length I wanted. maybe you have those resources in your location too? its worth checking out.

if I still had the connector package id give you that info but its long gone.
  • I found the proper fittings at a hardware store that worked for my Arctic Fox. You do have to remove the regulator from the BBQ or bypass the regulator on your propane tank (not easy and maybe a safety issue). You won't be able to run through 2 regulators.
  • There have been a few instances where I had to take a propane hose that mostly met my needs but had to have one end changed out. I've had no issues cutting one end off and adding a new fitting from bbq store or hardware store.
