A pressure of 11 inches WC translates to 0.3974002101014 PSI. One clamp would handle it but I used 2.

Look closely at the photo I posted above. The piece you need remove from the Coleman regulator is the brass piece that you tighten onto the rear of the grill with your fingers that is threaded onto the chrome pipe. That connection can be very tight and I had to take ours to a machine shop.

If you don't know how to properly work with pressurized propane piping and components, go get a professional to do it.

A Coleman Road Trip grill will definitely work after the regulator at your tanks. We've done it as well as many others have also. Two regulators will not work in series so you need to remove the one on the grill. The photo shows our mod. You can get the needed fittings at hardware stores and some RV parts vendors.

When taking the Coleman regulator apart, there is a small spring inside for the check valve and you need to be careful the pieces don't go flying off. You just want the brass fitting on the end of the Coleman regulator and the right brass fitting to thread into it.

You shouldn't have to get a hose made up. You can use a standard LP hose with female ends. We have a 20' hose with 3/8" dia. A 1/4" hose may restrict the flow if too long. We get a bit of a lazy flame at times, but it's almost as good as the flame on the range inside.

Definitely a worthwhile mod!

This is what I used for my Webber Q. Unscrewed the regulator and replaced with this. Some variation of these would work with yours as long as you can unscrew the regulator

You CAN buy a "RV low pressure BBQ", and plug that to your RV quick connect line, but those BBQ are NOT CHEAP.

While this is basically correct, you CAN use the Road trip on a low pressure line (rv quick connect) IF you remove the regulator. A member recently posted how to do it if somebody can find it. This is commonly done on the Weber Q series which I have experience with.

RV specific BBQs are usually $200+

We have a Coleman grill and we removed the regulator and put a quick connect there for the hose. Works great.

Most propane dealers can adapt a hose to the threads after you remove the regulator. Many of the grills sold today crimp the regulator to the hose. Cheaper than an extra fitting. On my fire pit I had an extra hose made up. They can lop the regulator off the hose and add a fitting.
