Doesn't matter. But I like it quiet when I go to a National park CG. the loudest thing we use is a propane lantern. And yeah. you can hear it running as well. but not nearly so much as a Generator of any kind.
But as mentioned, ever one does it different. And I bet if you came with me to the BRP CGs. You wouldn't find much need for a generator either. It is always too cool for AC, and too pretty to stay inside anyway. and the CGs are Sooo quiet. You can hear a lantern burn 100 Yd away.
