Still, I try not to annoy my neighbors by knowing when to use the generator to cause the least distraction for everyone else. The adults and kids generally make noise at all hours of the day and night.
If I carry the Yamaha1000, I also carry a 100' extension cord - long enough to place the generator where even *I* can't hear it.
Then again, I can easily nap/sleep through the very low noise the Yamaha makes - even if it is right outside of my window - is its "noise" is constant and easy to "tune out". I've had not so much luck with screaming little brats, barking dogs, intoxicated adults and improperly muffled cars/trucks/rv's which seemingly always require to circle the campground a 1/2 dozen times before realizing the campground is indeed FULL.
