Thanks for posting about the work you've done on your generator. I'm real curious to hear the result after the additional insulation, etc.
Living in the desert, the gen and a/c are life-saving devices when the temps are over 100-degrees . . . and sometimes approaching 120! Though we tend to head for higher ground (and cooler temps) in the summer, there are times we use the camper in the lower elevations even when it's a scorcher.
In terms of noise - I'm finding some quads can be rather annoying, particularly when they seem to be designed with the intention of being obnoxiously loud. On a recent trip, there was one quad that could literally be heard from MILES away and the owner rode it back and forth for some odd reason. The thing was loud enough to make your chest rattle! Without ear protection, hearing loss is certainly predictable in the owners future.
