"That new Allison 10-speed isn’t actually made by the familiar Indianapolis-based engineering firm. It will be built in-house by General Motors and simply features Allison branding."

That is right the truth is getting harder and harder to find. We see proof of it almost daily on the TV. Even NOAA recently was bent to join the list of those that disregard the truth. - ShinerBockExplorer

You are also bias and believe that everything you own is the best thing since Betty White so there is that. I can link multiple threads from the Cummins forum, Turbo Diesel Register, and other forums of owners saying the same thing I did along with multiple truck review sites stating so in their back to back comparison reviews.
Neither of the Ram transmission offerings are that great in regards to speed of shifting and shift strategy compared to the Allison. The 68RFE is better than the Aisin in this department along with smoothness, but Aisin can handle more weight, has a PTO, and is more durable than the 68RFE. It is what it is, and it ain't what it ain't.
But GM no longer uses the Allison tranny, just the Allison name on an inhouse tranny.
While it is true that the transmission isn't built by Allison, it is tuned by Allison. It is that shift strategy tuning that is leaps and bounds ahead of the Aisin and 68RFE. There is hardly any chunkiness and you always feel like you are in the right gear.
Although, you can tune the 68RFE to shift a lot better. My aftermarket transmission tuning made a huge improvement over stock. My stock 68RFE shifted way to early and would put me in 6th as low as 40 mph with the torque converter unlocked leaving you with very little power if you needed to get back on the throttle especially when towing. Tuned, it will not go into 6th until around 61 mph with the TC locked in every shift from 3rd on up in normal mode and 2nd on up in tow/haul. Even without adding any power, it makes a night and day difference in drivability, power delivery, and overall quickness of the truck. - HuntindogExplorer

Did you know that coke doesn't produce coke anymore? They license independant bottlers to produce it to their specs.

Now in this case... The people who want this to be an issuse.... Would never buy a GM anyway. - Me_AgainExplorer III

One huge reason not to buy the Ram, Bosch CP4 fuel system. GM dropped that system in 2017, Ford will have a new fuel system for 2020.
I love my 2015 CTD but I'd buy a Duramax of the 2019 offerings. If Ford actually drops the CP4 I'd put them on the list too although the way they warrantied their grenade fuel pumps over the years compared to GM would still give me pause. - 4x4ordExplorer IIIAll the diesels are amazing but i think if I was a GM guy looking for a new truck I'd find it awful hard to turn my back on a 2020 GMC.

Also no dead pedal.
