IB that is not bad mileage with a 4.10 rear axle. Granted you have a much more sophisticated transmission than the 48RE in my 05 3500 diesel, but those mileage figures aren't a lot lower than what I get towing or city driving.
My 2007 5.9 Cummins/48RE/3.73 would get 10-11 towing the same 5er, 14-15 city, and 19-21 hwy empty. However, diesel fuel is more costly than reg unleaded, so that makes up for some of the difference.
Either way, I'm still happy. The 2014 truck is light years ahead of the 07. Ride, interior quality, fit & finish, and this one will have a working heater when its -40* :).
