I thought they made the switch in '14MY, but I guess it may have been '15. I know '14 was the 1st year for 5-link coil rear suspension in the 2500's....I know because I have one. I had thought the frame mods that year for the coil system were also implemented in the 3500's and that air suspension was an option. I definitely don't want to mislead anyone. According to this Mr.Truck Review of the 2014 RAM 3500 on YouTube an engineer from RAM is explaining the air suspension.
The OP sounded like he's searching for a new rig. I mainly wanted to inform him that OEM air suspension is an option.....and a darn good one if he's carrying a heavy TC.

At one point they were going to offer it in 14 but they changed the design and offered it in 15.
