ram 3500 oil change
2015 Ram 3500 diesel has 4800 miles 7 months new. dealer said I need to do oil change now. 2nd dealer says not yet, when should I computer says 62 left

Spot-on Fish. TBN degrades because of the interaction of moisture with the oil (due to the combustion by-products in the oil). I think in your case with such low mileage, you're probably fine with a yearly oil change. If you want to make sure, an oil analysis for about 33 or so bucks would allay any fears you have of wear and oil breakdown.
I put on 15k to 20k miles a year. I go with the 6 month oil change interval which means changes between 7500 and 10000 miles for me. I figure I get my dollar's worth on the oil (T6) and I like to be a little conservative on the change intervals.
