Now that these d@mn filters are not just “cheap insurance” ( not compared to older trucks and simple cheap effective aftermarket options), how realistic do you think it is that the secondary filter is anywhere needing changed at 15k miles?
Haven’t done but a couple changes on the 4th gen truck but similarly front filter sure looked good still.
On my old 07 I added a secondary filter downstream of the factory one. I did go cut one of those open after 2 oil changes so probably 15-18k miles and was surprised how clean it was and started changing them every 3rd oil change so 20-25k miles and never had an issue.
Sure feels like the primary filters could go a lot longer, on average, than 15k.
