After doing a little research with a buddy of mine that was thinking of buying a new Ram with the ecodiesel... I thought they were doing pretty good? This was just some of the highlights. I think if anyone was going to be getting one of these I'd wait for a while until they get it sorted out.
I can't help wonder what happened to the Edmunds long term tester, cp 4.2?
Edmunds long term tester ->Ram ecodiesel on the hook
Fuel system replacement -> Major fuel system problem
No idea what went wrong here, but we will find out.
Fumes in the cab making people sick -> ecodiesel makes me sick
There was/is an exhaust tube that can split. An new design has fixed that issue. No smells in my 2015, all the one I have seen are 2014 trucks and are being addressed.

This guy is the same clown that posted he switched to Ram because his Ford 150 EB X2 were junk, along with his two GM/Chevy trucks. Now his Ram is junk, he is a self claimed expert that is nothing more than a hack. Note the next two "issues" are from the same "fuel system export" idit.
Upset owner with quality issues -> poor quality
Blowby -> Blowby video
The Eco diesel is not having anymore issues then the Ford Ecoboost did when it first came out. Oh and BTW I know of at least five Ram Eco diesels that have been bought back by Ram without ever having to go to court. So at least Ram is taking care of their customers!

That might be one way to shade the issue of lemons. But I am not sure I would consider that a proud statistic. Are these individuals you heard about through work or the internet or do you know them personally? Were they all due to the same issue if you know? I have not heard of any issues so Fiat is doing a good job keeping this under the radar and fixing as they go.
