RAM HD Tradesman (ST, SXT in Canada) comfy enough?

Looking to get a 4x4 truck this Spring and will probably upgrade to a new HD at the same time, perhaps even diesel. We don't need, and can't afford, anything fancy, so would like to look at a 2500...

I've got a tradesman that has a few options on it. I purposely wanted a truck that didn't have all of that fancy **** on it. I don't really miss anything. It pretty much does what I want it to do. When I want to change the radio station, I reach over and turn the knob. When I want to shift into 4wd I reach down and pull the shift lever.
