I can see that happening. The Ram quality is amazing! I will not be buying Fords anymore due to the rust issues! My neighbor has an 11 F150 that has been rusting for the past 4 years. To the point it looks like junk. My wife’s 13 Explorer has rear doors that are starting to rust where the door skin wraps over the door frame. And the hood paint is peeling. I have yet to see any 4 year old Rams rusted this badly let alone 7 or 8 years old! And the Hemi doesn’t have the timing chain/phaser/spark plug issues the Ford has.
I currently own the following Fords, a 2016, a 2013, a 2005 and a 2003. I sold a 1991 model in 2013 and a 2003 model in 2016. None have (or had) any of the issues that you are complaining about. I guess that you just had bad luck. It happens sometimes.
The rust belt shows all the rust issues manuf have. In the last 10
Years it has shifted to Ford having the problems. I see very few Dodge/Rams with rust issues.
Truck from one of the machinist I knew... Another one had his front bumper replaced because the chrome was pealing and the bumper was rusting.
That truck has been at least partially overboard in salt water. Boat ramp comes to mind.
