:) Hi, I read somewhere that Ram outsold Chevrolet half tons and GM is pissed. Is this fiction, or why haven't I seen any posts about this?

Rust will never go away in MN/WI with the amount of salt being used. Ten years, if you can make it that long without major rust. Your doing alright. My 14' Ram 1500 is still rust free including the frame. My aftermarket running boards are shot though and have rusted thru, will replace them this summer.
