OHC gasoline engines in the Fords are a huge reliability problem and a maintenance nightmare with the cab having to be removed to do any serious engine work.
I'm not really sure how anyone could look at these things any other way; Ford is alone in its decision to use OHC engines in American trucks.
:h The Ford gas engines are a huge reliability issue? Is this a forecast of things yet to come?
Good question. I currently own five and kept one until I no longer needed it at 135,000 miles with no issues in the four that I still have and a head gasket in the one that I sold. When I put it up for sale I asked twice KBB value and had people competing for it. I guess that they didn't get the memo either. My oldest one right now is a 2003 Sable. Both it and my 2008 Ranger are around 180,000 miles. Neither has been babied at all.
