Ram2500 6.4 tire pressure

I checked with the Ford stealer I go to and the service manager said sure we can do it.

I don't know what he put on the service order and really don't care.

Running 80 in my F250 tires when empty is really a bone jarring experience.

This is a NTSB issue. It is mandated the way it is. Most dealers who refuse to change the settings are doing so to avoid lawsuits.

A lot of dealers will refuse or act stupid or both.
Best bet I've found is talk to a tire shop that does big tires and wheels and ask who they send their customer to to get the tpms thresholds re programmed.
I called or visited a half dozen dealers with my last Ford to no avail. Went to a big tire shop and they pointed me to the right dealer.
Fwiw if you're going to spend the time/$ to get it done think about how low you want to run your tires ever and set it below that. Winter driving, sand, off road, etc. I set mine to 30 psi all around so I can air down in the winter without the stupid light coming on.

In your case, vehicles over 10,000 GVWR are not required to have a TPMS system (1-ton and up). So RAM decided to just make it a "Tire Pressure Information System" (TPIS). It will never give you a warning, but it still monitors air pressure so you can check it every so often. That is on 2014 and up. For 2013, I don't know, but I know I don't have a TPMS because I don't get alerts either. I run 60/55.

I have heard of other pressures being set by the dealer, I believe there is a good post on Cumminsforum that details the exact step as most dealers don't know how to properly re-program the pressure (or it could be for tire size, I don't remember off the top of my head). But doing a search there can certainly help.

My 2011 F250 TPMS wants 65psi all around, but does not light up until about 58psi. There is no changing it. Ford will not touch it, and the "programming" procedure is solely to tell the computer where each sensor is located. RAM may be totally different.
One poster over at Ford Truck Enthusiasts WWW site removed the sensors from the tires and put them in a pressurized pvc pipe gizmo he made up. Left the pipe behind the seat and claims that it works.

My F150 seems to have two acceptable zones.
With the P rated tires at 35-44 psi, no problem.
Switched to LT's at 50psi, got the malfunction light.
Boosted psi to 60 or above and all is well.

On my 2014 3500 dually Ram, I run 40psi in the rear for towing my light trailers and 80psi when the fifth wheel is attached, no problems.

Mine is the same way. 60/80 or I get a finger waving.

But then we tow a trailer of some sort pert near every day. Right now its loaded with 2x4's
