Rare Suburban

That particular suburban had 1500 badging .
What years were the diesel available in a 1500 suburban ?

Usually correct, but not always...

You could get a 1500 diesel. It was a de-rated motor and came with the semi-floating 14bolt rear axle (8 lug).

The 2500's diesel and 454gas came with 8 lug and a 14 bolt full-floating rear axle.

The 2500 350gas came with the 8 lug 14 bolt semi-floating axle.

An 89 Burb IMHO would be easier to dump a 12V than one of the 90's trucks. Assuming the 89 is a square body, those would handle and were designed for a 300ci I6 of some sort. I've seen a few with 292 I6's. So that setup would be easy, along with taking one with a 6.2 in it......also easy to do. Just need to beef up the trans!

There is a guy here in Kitsap county with an 89 Suburban. Has a complete 12 valve swap. Very nicely done. It is an awesome truck. He gets coffee at the same spot I do. Next time I will get some photos. Wish I had his time and money.

I Believe its called Duraburbinc.com. Theres is a corvette at the race track that is running a cummins doing 9.5 sec 1/4 mile

I really like my Excursion, but, if Dodge had those for sale..... WOW!

When I worked as a tech at a Dodge dealer, everyone asked why I didn`t drive a Dodge? I told them if Dodge built a 3/4-1 ton SUV then I would`ve bought it. I like the Dodge version there. The Cummins Burb is OK, but it`s still on a GM chassis!
