I also lost interest in paying so much for a diesel truck and the diesel fuel (more than high test gas $$$). I found a 2004 8.1 (big block 496 ci with Allison trans) GMC Dually over the winter. Truck is in very nice condition. It tows very well with similiar performance as my previous diesels, but at a higher RPM. I am towing a 15K triple axle toy hauler. Oh MPGs are terrible (about 6), but I can run regular gas. To sum it up- I sold a $ 35K diesel truck and bought a 14K gas truck. No regrets so far.
