I have owned a couple of truck campers over the last 20 years and have never unloaded while camping. In that same time period I have stayed in a campground with hookups of any kind a total of one time, and have never stayed where there was asphalt or concrete to set up on. We stay in primitive camp spots in the mountains or non developed spots at the lake which is why we got the truck camper. The wife and I can load or unload our 20 foot boat just as easy with or without the camper
