Ready to Buy?

looked at the bigfoot 2500 10.4 truck camper today surprised it has only one battery? no television no solar. also looked at the Northern lite 10-2excd dry bath not quite a dry bath as mirror always gets wet. The Northern Lite comes with two battery compartment one 95 watt solar panel a 24 inch television. I remember northern lite use to make a 10-2000 RR it was a true dry bath. Right now I am pondering they are both very close in price please convince me.

If just one battery is the make or break, go with just one Lithium 100a, much cheaper per watt/duty cycle over the long haul...

We make coffee on the cooktop all the time with no alarms ;) Just open the vent and turn on the fan....if there is still condensation build up (when it's colder out) open some windows a crack and turn on the fantastic fan :D

Man....2 batteries to make coffee? What is wrong with the cook top?

It's not 2 batteries just to make coffee, but camper was design for it.
There are no espresso that will work with cooktop anyway and I had CO alarm coming on with heavy cooktop use in small space.
Not too mention the steam and all additional heat.
  • With what you're describing, a 2 battery compartment and other amenities even with the fogged mirror would trump the other.

  • Hey there, Marine- I have always thought the Northern Light campers were pretty slick and for my next camper they will be a serious contender high up on my list. I know the BF's are of a similar construction type, but based on my bias and your desired options (and price range similarity) I would vote for the NL.

I have not looked at my old NL brochures, but remind me... is the 10-2000 RR the one with the mid bathroom/ rear kitchen?
  • What you want us to convince you to?
I have 2 batteries that with 1500W inverter use every morning to make 3/4l of coffee.
DON'T DO THAT ON SINGLE BATTERY.
30 years of RVing and never had working TV in any. :S
