rear end ratio
OK so I feel I am stressing the truck to much in hilly conditions pulling my 5th wheel camper, seems fine out on open road but needs help near the lakes and camp grounds going up those sometimes large...

What does this ICE's power curve look like?
What is the tranny gear & it's ratio that the OP wants to drive at?
Then what is the RPM range that the OEM has designed 'this' vehicle to run at
all day?...at ratings...
Do you wish to have the RPMs fully loaded in the middle of it's range
or at the hairy edge of the top end...at the bottom end to almost lug it?
Finally, personal taste in the matter
I don't like my TV's to 'sing' for hours and hours on end towing heavy...but do
love my 2 seater to 'sing' for hours and hours on end blasting through the valley...
I like my Suburban to run at 85MPH all day in 4th at about 3,200 RPMs...but not
towing...
