Rear end ratios
I've read where some truck campers specify the ratio of gearing in the differential of their trucks used for truck camping. Would anyone out there be so kind so as to explain to me what the advantages...

As others have noted, depends on gas or diesel and whether you are towing in addition.
For Ford's 6.2L gas engine hauling a large TC (AF1150) we have 4.3 gear ratio and are very happy with it.
