I've never moved mine in 7 years of TC use. Once, while driving slowly thru a campground, an officer stopped me (on foot!). He asked where my license plate was. I got out and walked to the rear, leaned down, and pointed to it on the truck up under the camper. He leaned down, looked at it, and said "okay, have a nice day."
I've heard that duplicate plates are illegal and I've heard that putting a license plate on something other than what it's supposed to be on is also illegal.
