Well here in the SF Bay area the local police have been issuing tickets for obstucted Lic Plates to vehicles with hitch mounted bike racks. The solution to which is to mount the plate on the bike rack with a light, the same goes for folded up wheelchair platforms too. As a result I will keep mine on the lighted lic plate frame holder on the Lance when carrying it.
