There are a lot of questions surrounding the recent recall of Lite Cylinder LP tanks.
I work for a company that sells Ragasco cylinders. We have one on our BBQ grill at home and use one when we are camping on the RV.
I am fielding many calls and inquiries daily from consumers who are wondering if the recall effects other composite cylinders and even some asking about steel and aluminum. The answer of course is that the recall is for the Lite Cylinder only.
Ragasco makes a remarkable composite LP cylinder which is fast becoming a favorite of the RV and camping communities. At RagascoUSA, we import composite Ragasco LP cylinders from Norway. These cylinders are a one piece pressure vessel unlike the two piece Lite Cylinder product.
The Clear View LP cylinder by Ragasco marketed by RagascoUSA under DOT SP 12706 has an unblemished safety record and is a worthy replacement for the Lite Cylinder LP tank.
RagascoUSA, at this time offers a 17lb cylinder that is 12" in diameter and is 18" tall. It must be used in the vertical position. Later this year, we will have the smaller 11lb cylinder back in stock as well. More info at www.ragascousa.com
Happy & save camping!
Do you have plans for a 10 or 11 lb cylinder that matches the industry standard? Yours are the same diameter as the 20 lb but shorter, the industry standard is about 10.25" dia. and 16" tall.
