Ric, just because someone doesn't currently hate the thing you hate does not mean they are blind. Get over yourself. Get some air, sunlight, go hug a puppy or something. - ricaticExplorer

With all due respect, we have plenty of members that are blindly brand loyal across all Big 3. I think brand loyalty is stupid, because it doesn't reward innovation. No matter how good of a truck brand B or C make, they will only buy brand A. Brand B or C could safely haul 40K lbs, get 35 mpg, seat 15 comfortably, cost $15,000 new fully loaded, have the nicest interior, widest selection of colors, the best brakes, run flat tires with a 200K mile life expectancy, etc etc and the brand loyal idiots will still buy brand A because that is "their brand".
Every time I need a new vehicle, I research them all. I narrow them down to ones that meet my needs. I price them all out. I test drive them all. I compare options and costs and buy the best truck for the best price in my needs. I've owned a Ford, now I own a Toyota. If I bought a new truck today it would be a Ram.

well said and I absolutely agree...having been a zealot, but a non-basher of competing brands, I know the pitfalls of blind loyalty to any of the manufacturers...It appears the KoolAid crew has assigned my current brand loyalty to GM...and like their misguided thoughts that they could never be screwed by Big Blue, they would be mostly wrong...
Let me digress...I currently own a 2006 Chevy LBZ Dually...a fine truck for it's day...many owners of all the various brands will agree that in a used HD Diesel pickup it is a fine choice, maybe even the Gold standard...there are some Dodge Cummins guys out there that may disagree and I give them no argument...but does Big Blue have a diesel that would compete in this market...almost universally, the answer is no...unless you want to talk about the old reliable 7.3..last produced almost 13 years ago...
In a new truck, I would likely buy a new Ram HD dually...I might consider the right deal on a GM twin but certainly like the fact that Ram has stayed away from the Bosch CP4.xx HPFP problems...even though GM is fixing them all under warranty, the new Rams are so nice, with a proven drive train, I am hesitant to take another bite of the CP4.xx apple...
So...now where do the Blue Koolaid Kings take their "blind brand loyalty" crusade????...nowhere
Regards - fla-gypsyExplorerI love the way the Ford haters resort to accusations of name calling and bashing when Ford is the #1 bashing target on this forum. I don't really care what anyone else drives, why should you care what I drive? Ford haters have a lot of pent up anger for some reason. It is interesting albeit sad. Dwelling on the past, always being angry, or the need to always have an enemy are not good for your mental health. BTW, Ford has always honored their warranty to me.

If the current campaigner for the "Blue Koolaid World Distributorship" is referencing GM loyalty, one must ask from where he is getting his commentary position??? As to the leader in sales, the Blue Oval does continue to own that HD pickup title... as a manufacturer of quality vehicles that they stand behind when it breaks under warranty, they fall far short of the GM example...this is fact...forums full of Blue Oval fuel pump denials and nary a single warranty denial can be found from every other manufacturer using the same fuel pump...
There you go...today's lesson is over...your homework is to find some facts to back your claims...

I'm not sure whether or not you would accept facts at this point, but as long as you have hijacked this thread, I'll throw one in. My 04 Ford minivan had some issues early on, and the Ford warranty coverage was better than I could have asked for. I was very pleased, and if Ford still made minivans, I would have strongly considered one last year (although I am very happy with the Dodge).
Meanwhile, last time I checked, this was a thread about 2015 Ford Super Duty trucks being recalled. - spoon059Explorer II

Regards - larry_barnhartExplorerI have never been a ford hater or any other brand but the fords I have bought new didn't like me very much.
chevman - fla-gypsyExplorerI think I heard the school bell ring. Y'all need to get to class now. Today's lesson is on unsafe ignition switches and how to be the leader in a sales market.

The Ford haters are out in force tonight. Impressive, y'all really should grow up one day and learn how to act like an adult instead of schoolboys
Should be the same for all makes... no?
I prefer redheads... I like the challenge.... they have a nasty streak in em... very moody... a temper that can buckle the knees of most... make grown men cry.., if you can get one at the right time they can be a lot of fun!! :B
...exactly...but I tend to like blondes..or brunettes just as well:B:B:B
...and I have been a Blue Koolaid distributor...but I never bashed the competition but instead tried to provide facts...I have two ideals I try to promote...they are to point out the foolishness of being a total Koolaid drinker of any color and to make sure that unsuspecting purchasers have an opportunity to see the facts about one manufacturer in specific...my story speaks for itself, is well documented and unfortunately offends the Blue Oval faithful...too bad they don't recognize the fact that they could very well be next...
Regards - parkersdadExplorerFord will never do bad because there fan base will buy them regardless of the junk product they make at the time. I used to buy all Ford myself but those days are over. I buy whoever is the best the year I buy and the last few times it has been Nissan or Ram for me.
