Depends how big screen you have, 2 batteries with inverter will give you several hr of watching, but still good idea to have back up generator for short, winter days.
That's why I bought 1000W generator to use when my 3000W Honda would be overkill.
Would I stay at night that require heating, I would consider connecting 2 truck batteries to camper for reserve power.
Now after posting this, most of your previous posts seem to be B.S. When I bought my first Honda 2000 12 years ago, I was going to get the 1000, but when I looked at the dealers fuel consumed chart, the 2000 ran much longer at 1/4 load than the 1000. The difference was 250 watts vs. 500 watts. Then I went to the next generator on his shelf, which was a EU3000i and it was WAY over twice the price two EU2000is. That turned the decision into a no brainer.
My 2000 will run for anywhere between 12-15 hours per tank. I don't know how you are seeing all these people with 2000s gassing up all the time.
You have done a very nice job of justifying spending a bunch more money on one 3000 than I spent on two 2000s. BUT, I will tell you after dealing with three different EU3000is, I sincerely believe there is not a quieter generator made than those. They are indeed very quiet, even under load.
My solar is much quieter though. :)
