The bolt should come via bracket hole, where you can wrap a string, or shoelace around it, remove the fishing wire and attach the nut.
Any pliers can damage the thread, what will bite you later.
But check the bracket holes before starting the job - mine had powdercoating run into the holes and the bolt with fish wire would not go.
Suck to find it out when you are under the truck with your hands full.
Torklift tie-downs were still easier to install, than Curt front hitch.
I think I got the mechanical thing covered. Millwright for 25 years, then Supervisor, then Inspector, then Machinery Specialist, then Senior Machinery Specialist at the biggest refinery in Houston for the biggest oil company in the world.
But there's always more to learn.
My Curt front hitch off the 2016 Ram is sitting in the garage waiting on me to put on the new dually. Piece of cake.
