West Coast towing down a 6 percent grade on a curve and a gust hitting you is not a good thing when you end up in on coming traffic. You are lucky to never have experienced that.
HA! 6% all you got? I have never in all my life had a trailer slide me sideways in a curve on pavement. If you have you were either driving way too fast for the situation or you were riding on rims. I have hills that I travel that are in the 11-12% range with curves sharp and long enough that I can literally see the tail lights on my boat trailer when looking out the window over my shoulder. Yes, taking up both lanes. I have never had my 20,000# trailer make my truck go where I don't want it to go in a curve. That's just silliness right there.
