Yes and yes- no matter which recall you are talking about (there are many). I still run across Dometics that have not had the recall done, and keep a couple of kits on hand.

can you post a picture of what the kit looks like? I have a "potential candidate fridge" (ie. based on model and serial number) but don't know if it has been already done since I bought the trailer used a couple of years ago. thanks

I spoke with one dealer and they want to charge to do this work... :-(

A true manufacturer's recall never expires, whether your tow vehicle or RV.

Dometic should pick up the tab for that... it's their recall.

that may be true in general but like most things in RV land, one is dealing with "independents" who then must get their money from a "distant corporation". I have an email into dometic and will wait a bit.
