I have a Domestic Refridgerator which always switches to gas when set for electric. I replaced a blown 5 amp fuse thru the outside access panel but the problem persists. I would appreciate any suggest...

OP needs to isolate the problem.
Yes, it could be the element, but it could also be a failure on the circuit board.
By disconnecting the element, it can be determined whether it is the circuit board or an element problem.
