Nevada is getting enough income from casinos taxes, so doesn't have to harass residents.
Vehicle registration is comparable (I paid less in CA, but I have newer cars) when insurance in Las Vegas goes via the roof. Than I am comparing to low-crime neighborhood in CA, when San Francisco has high insurance as well.
Still fuel in LV is cheaper, food is cheaper, I eat 3 steaks for $7.99 at local Golden Coral.
But big difference are roads.
In CA garages are limited, so filled up with ****, when residents park on the streets.
In Las Vegas my neighbors have 3-5 car garages and suburban street is 40' wide. Add that most houses have 2000 sq-ft of driveways (I have over 3000). With no cars park on the street it makes totally different impression that driving between rows of cars on both sides in CA.
When road constructions are annoying- the main freeway intersection after 2 years of constructions is getting close to be finish. It is going to be very nice drive.
My LV house is bigger than my CA house, yet cost me 1/4 of what I collected selling CA house.
So adamis went 1 way, I went opposite. We both can prize our decisions ;)
