In my case, we happened to have acreage and trees, no need for all out farming.
At the time, you needed to use the trailer for ag, threw a shovel on the trailer or some other implement , scattered some straw in the corners and called it good, in the number of years of having a ag plate we were Never checked, questioned, or even looked at.
I only bring this up as a last resort, just something to further check into, maybe it could work maybe not but most do not think about ag as a possible answer.
btw I do not remember any mileage restriction, we took that trailer everywhere, out of state anywhere we wanted to go, maybe we were happily dumb.
