Registration
I am buying a TT in Michigan in April but will not return to my home state of AZ for 3 months. I can only get a 15 day temp plate in MI and AZ ADOT could not offer a solution. Anyone out there ever done this or can anyone help me?

- [COLOR=]When I bought my TT in Ohio, I had my credit union handle everything. The payment to the dealer, and the AZ registration. When I went to sign the papers, the credit union had my AZ registration and temp plate for me. I took it with me to Ohio, put it on and towed it home.
- Or...do you have a friend who would go through the hassle for you? Send him the paperwork and the amount of $ needed, he can go get the plate and send it back to you. Our TT was purchased in OH and had a 30 day tag, which was plenty for us. If they actually want to see the trailer in person, won't work, will it? How about calling the license bureau or whoever and ask to speak to a supervisor. Sometimes they know the answers.

- The dealer works with a third party that will do all my registration, etc for $175 so I will be legal during my extended vacation to the east states.

That could be kinda expensive in some states.

That was going to be my suggestion. The man I bought my TT from, actually did that for 2 summers to avoid registering with SOS.- if you can't find a solution then just don't worry and drive it to AZ when you can with the expired plate. or, just take the plate off when you pull it.
at least in south dakota, my mailing address, I have purchased several trailers out of that state and I just get the plates mailed to my address. - How about getting it registered and licensed where you purchase it, then transfer the title once you move back to Arizona? - AZ may want to see you viehicle, at least they did when I moved here from Calif. and registered my Roadtrek Class B. May be different for a TT or if your buying from a dealer.
