I have a TT because that's what my truck at the time would handle. I daydream online looking at 5th wheels, but the reality is that our TT suits our needs, and I haven't seen a fiver that offers more of what we need. It's two years old with no issues, and I have modded it into what works for us, upgraded the swivel rockers to comfy La-Z Boys and life in the trailer is good.. The 35' overall length was daunting a first, getting in and out of gas stops and small CG sites, but experience has made all of that go away. Truthfully, I guess I don't want to start over with a new trailer and all of the issues that go with one. I also don't see a great difference in space with a fiver. The space is the same for a given length, the difference being that six feet of it is hanging over the truck. Outside storage is a different matter, but I have worked around that along with what other few issues I've had.
Price is another consideration. A given amount of $$$ will go further on a nice TT than a fiver. What you spend on a very nice TT only gets you into an entry level fiver. Economically, there's just no incentive in it for me to switch.
All in all, I'm happy with what I have.
