After a couple of travel trailers, I got the itch for a fifth wheel trailer, so I tried one. I am happy to be back in a travel trailer for all the reasons mentioned above, plus one more. I use my pickup with its fiberglass cap for overnight camping and for a quick trip anywhere. With a few basic items, I am free to roam. Some might even call it "camping". Pretty hard to put much of a cot in a pickup bed with a fifth wheel hitch, and I like having a roof over my head.
