We purchased a diesel dually TV with plans to purchase a 5ver. When it actually came time to purchase a new RV, we ended up with another TT instead of the 5ver. Why? We decided we did not want to continually negotiate the steps in a 5ver. We also wanted to use the bed of the dually to carry our genset, bicycles, and misc other items we take for weekends and long trips. Our concession was to replace a 29 foot TT with a 35 foot TT. We found that campgrounds in our state parks handle up to a 35 footer easier than larger rigs. Towing our TT is like it is not there. I believe you would always be aware of the 5ver because of the additional weight and the closer pivot point.
