remember when
I started driving in the late 50's so I grew up with the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. I never had a true muscle car but did have some big V8's. Back then you either had a stick or a 3 speed auto...

I timed myself once on a 63 Pontiac. From parking the thing to having the tranny out sitting on the ground - 17 minutes. Sure we're simple to work on.
Good old slip and slide with powerglide. 63 was the first year they went from cast iron to aluminum. Sure made them easier to pick up, and pull out of the car.
