remember when
I started driving in the late 50's so I grew up with the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. I never had a true muscle car but did have some big V8's. Back then you either had a stick or a 3 speed auto...

My father had a 67 Chrysler Newport. Hardly a muscle car, but all I had to play with. He ordered it to pull his TT. Posi traction rear end, some high ratio gearing I don't remember, heavy duty suspension and wide tires. On the rare ocassions the piece of junk was not in the shop, I could flip the breather cover on the 383 4bbl and smoke any muscle car from a dead stop. Well, at least for the first hundred feet. After that they had gotten traction and whizzed by me. Felt great for a hundred feet though!
