remember when
I started driving in the late 50's so I grew up with the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. I never had a true muscle car but did have some big V8's. Back then you either had a stick or a 3 speed auto...

Are you only including cars? Because the 55and 56 Chevy 1/2 and 3/4 tons used the Hydramatic transmission. The 1/2 tons couldn't lock it in 1st gear but the 3/4 tons could.
And yes they were 4 speeds. I know I owned 2 of them.
Look them up. You can still get parts to rebuild them.
