Removing sticky threads from display

Totally agree with you there. I suggest a 200% raise. :P

I am pretty sure the moderators are not paid (no clue if admins are) either.

I can't comment on the TC forum specifically, but honestly, it's pretty obvious this rv.net forum is pretty old. Money is typically a driving factor in getting updates done and from the sounds of things there's not much available.

Nothing against Northern Lites ... if I didn't have a Bigfoot I'd probably have a Northern Lite ... but I agree with jmckelvy's comment. The other stickies are general and useful enough to justify being a sticky. But, yeah, I only visit them occasionally and would like a button to hide them at times. But it's not something that'll stop me from stopping in here ;)

Thank you all for the responses. It just seems the sticky's(grammar police) where an attempt to coagulate(definition police) all the wonderful info here. I think most people do not prefer to culled (synonym police).... But in all seriousness... I read a lot here... Never from the stickies(spelling police) and solely from your original, uncatorgorized thoughts. Again, thank you!

Count yourselves lucky.

A couple of years ago I participated in a chainsaw forum. The forum showed 25 topics per page. EVERY PAGE showed the "sticky" threads.

At first it was no big deal. Maybe 3-5 sticky threads. Then it became 8. Then 12. Then 16. At one point they were pushing 20 sticky threads, on EVERY PAGE.

Having to slog through 10 pages of repeated sticky threads to see the new topics got old real fast, like playing poker with Kenny Rogers. Eventually enough of us made suggestions, that they give the sticky topics their own subforum.
