- ryoungExplorerWow, over the yeas we have became a picky bunch.
ryoung - jmckelvyExplorerAlong a similar note I have wondered why there is a sticky for Northern Lite owners. Are they special? There is no similar sticky for other brands.
- 54sudsExplorerit would be nice:C if admin could make the' hide" work for stickies ?????
- MNGeeks61ExplorerI have no solution either, but since they are called "Stickies" like "sticky notes" the intent is for them to be shown first on the list.
I've spent many years perusing many forums and admining a few, any of them that allowed stickies also had no provision for removing them from view.
I assume the intent is to have people check those threads first for commonly asked questions, or important information. By the same token, the search function on many forums should be looked at as well...even though in some cases there are so many posts that the search function doesn't return the results expected.
It all boils down to the member looking for the information should search first, check stickies too...but all too often, we don't.
I suppose it's a bit like checking the table of contents in a book and not seeing the exact wording that you're looking for, so you have to look in the index. - Reddog1Explorer II

I have no solution other than those mentioned. Over many years, members have insisted on the Stickies. If it were my call, we would have fewer of them.

Moderator - RoyBExplorer IIAnother thing I have found is not go to the favorite forum directly like CLASS A Motorhomes etc... We just click on the NEWEST POSTS which shows all of the forums newest posts. I don't see the STICKYs here - just the new posts...

One thing you could do is go to your "My Preferences" page and set the "Topics per page" setting to the max, which is 40. That would make the page longer, and the stickies wouldn't eat up so much of the first page.

Ditto - NRALIFRExplorerI don't think there is a way to NOT see the sticky topics. One thing you could do is go to your "My Preferences" page and set the "Topics per page" setting to the max, which is 40. That would make the page longer, and the stickies wouldn't eat up so much of the first page.
:):) - RoyBExplorer III guess you are referring to the RV.NET forum... I use the WOODALLS PORTAL here which is pretty much AD FREE... Try that. All of the RV-NET forums info are the same on each of the some 5-6 forums portals.
