Removing the basement slide tray from Host

I took my tray out and threw it away. It seemed as though nearly everything I wanted to put in tray was wider than the tray.The tray took up valuable space. I also found the same issue with the pickup bed trays.
Oh, and the walls of the tray are less than 1" high.
