I've had both. They both have strong points and weak points. My present TT has a power one. At first I could take it or leave it.. But I have grown to like the push button convenience.
I have found that we use it a lot more as it is so easy.
The manuals can be staked down to take some pretty strong winds, but there are limits. If you determine that the wind is too strong for even a staked down awning, it is a bear to roll it up in such a wind. BTDT.
The power ones can also be staked down, but the procedure is different, and it will not take as strong a wind as the manual ones... But if you decide it needs to be stowed, it can be unstrapped
and rolled up MUCH quicker.
