Replacement for my Equalizer WD Hitch?

I have an e2 Equalizer WD Hitch and I think it does a great job at controlling sway etc. my issue with it is that the bars and more specifically, where they attach to the trailer makes my ground clearance too low imo. Is there a different set up folks might suggest? I couldnt even get my tt leveled this past weekend because of those brackets where the friction bars rest. I drive an 07 Yukon XL Denali and my tt is a Passport 3220bh
  • Can you provide a picture of the hitch setup? One option may be to raise the L brackets up a hole or two if they are set too low. At least on the 4 way equalizer with the trunion bars, the manual calls for the bars to be parallel with the trailer frame. My bars are only barely below the trailer frame, so don't see them being a clearance issue. If you were having clearance issues at the hitch head where the round bars drop down and turn I could see other hitch options providing more clearance, but most every wd hitch I've seen has the bars even lower below the trailer frame than my 4 pt Equalizer.
  • I had to actually look up the E2 hitch to see the difference, but I get where you're coming from. Compared to the regular EQ hitch the E2's bars seem way lower.

IMHO I don't think this can be adjusted out to get more ground clearance, sorry.
