Replacement jacks, learned something new

I bought a set of replacement and slightly better jacks for my 08 Lance 805 and just noticed there are left and right jacks in a set. Unfortunately the set I bought has 3 of one kind and 1 of the other. Just a heads up if you were like me and didn't know better, check them before tossing the boxes or removing the old ones. These have been hanging around since March waiting for me to get time to install them. Hopefully the company I bought them from will work with me on sourcing the correct one.

  • Actually, you may want to make sure that one "backwards" jack won't work for you before you go ahead and exchange it.

The right rear corner jack on my TC is angled such that the crank handle smacks against the side of the camper if you are not careful. All four jacks on mine are angled the same way. Front ones clear because of the dually brackets. Only the right rear is the problem.

Are you sure the top isn't reversible or adjustable?

No, it's all welded together so I don't think there is a way to rotate the head 90 degrees without some grinding and welding. If the bracket was at a right angle to the cranking axis I could see there being a possibility of removing the horizontal bits and reinstalling the 180 degrees so it cranks from the other side. I technically may be able to use them as is if I installed the 2 sames on the rear, it just would look weird and these weren't particularly cheap. I use a drill for up/down but if I had to use the crank in a pinch it probably would interfere with the camper.
