Didn't see other posts on this topic so opted for new topic. New to TT traveling and rv.net so be gentle. Had blowout on 1st trip. Didn't notice right away (tandem axle) so rim sustained damage. Replacing with OEM rim is $170. That's a lot more than my research shows for secondary market. I can't imagine it's that much better, if at all. I can replace all rims with likely better for maybe twice that, but that leaves me with 3 unneeded rims. I have to think I'm not only person who has experienced this conundrum. Have seen my rims on many other TTs, suggesting they're pretty common, but I can't find anyone selling 3 rims (or 2 or 1). What's my best bet?

Is it aluminum or steel? A picture and size would help get answers.

I was planning on replacing all four OEM 14" aluminum rims with steel 15" rims and tires and sell the OEM set.Don't see any real functional difference between aluminum to steel rims. Plus the steel rims are only $38.00 each. :)

Back home from our trip now and hot on the trail of replacement wheels. Interesting note ... one of my other tires wouldn't hold pressure. Turns out there was a nail in it! Some very nice folks at the Les Schwab in Burns, OR repaired it and gave me good advice on replacing wheels. I would've bought new on the spot, but items weren't in stock.

Thanks everyone for responses. Will attach rim pic once I figure out how. They're split spoke aluminum. I've indeed looked at virtually every online resource, including Les Schwab, etrailer, etc. None had my rims, but saw many others I'm sure are as good or better than I'd have to pay for OEM but at 1/2 to 2/3 the cost. I think the best approach is to view this as a sign from above to buy new but larger rims to fit larger tires. The OEM wheel assembly meets minimum specs but offers little/no margin of error re: load. I can go to 15 or maybe 16 inch wheels with higher load rating. Maybe the shop will pay a little sumpin' sumpin' for my 3 beautifully maintained and used only on Sunday rims. Hmmm? If not, the Craigslist idea could be a good choice.

If the spare is the same ,use it and get a regular rim as a spare . Or think of this , can you see both sides of the trailer at the same time? No , as long as the 2 rims are the same on 1 side , nobody will notice .

A long shot would be to contact the manufacturer and see if they would be willing to supply you with the part number and vendor of your wheel (the place they buy them from) so you can get it cheaper than going through multiple levels of distribution and markup, I mean price gouging!! (RV manufacturer markup, then RV dealer markup, and shipping or freight)
