Replacing Door Latch

I am going to replace the latch on one of my doors with the one in the picture and was wondering if any caulking is needed when I do this. Its the same latch as the factory (new one is better built) so it's pretty much just a matter of four screws. I don't see any caulking on the old one so I was wondering what you guys have done who have replaced your latches.

    Yes. When the original door latch is removed, butyl tape is probably what was used and should be evident then.
