Replacing Jensen ANHD20 antenna

Our 2011 Outdoors RV Back Country trailer came with an "omnidirectional" Jensen ANHD20 antenna, which does a horrible job picking up OTA television stations. I only live about 35 miles from Portland, Oregon and it only will receive 3 obscure channels. My old trailer with a crank up Winegard picked up close to 12. I'd like to replace it - - I'm guessing the only way is to pry the unit off the rubber roof, and replace it with something else. Not real keen on tinkering with the roof seal, but any advice on how to and what to replace it with?

Sounds like you have no choice if you're going to upgrade to something superior like a Winegard Bat Wing or Jack from King Controls.

If you go with something like a bat wing, make sure you have room for it to fold down.
  • Wish I could help but, I've never hard of that antenna. I've had Omni-directional antennas that have bolted to the side of the camper. Then when you get to the campsite you just slide them up and they unfold. They work fair but, it might be better then what you have.
